Dr.M.S.KARTHIK
Dr.M.S.Karthik is a consultant Psychiatrist who got his post graduate training and degree from the renowned and second best institute for medical sciences in India (PGIMER, Chandigarh). After training he came to his home town, Chennai and worked in Sri Ramachandra Hospital, Chennai. He is proficient in communication in Tamil, English and Hindi Languages. He is a Professor and trained many post graduates to learn Psychiatry more effectively. He has vast experience for 15 years in treating various mental illness such as stress related problems, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychosis, OCD, work place stress, seizures, addiction problems like (Alcohol, Heroin, Opium, Cannabis, Cocaine, Ecstasy and other tablet addiction, and Nicotine) and sexual problems.
He sees mental illness as a product of disturbance in one’s environment and their biological and psychological wellbeing. In addition, several social and cultural factors play major role in shaping the presentation of mental illness. Therefore, each person with similar symptom will have varying presentation. He believes understanding individual in these perspectives will help in making correct diagnosis and formulate a right management plan. He is passionate and enjoys psychiatry.
